11. Swim in the ocean. There are lots of great swimming spots on Oahu besides Waikiki beach.
12. Drive to The Pali Lookout
The historical cliff where King Kamehameha defeated his opposition. One of the best views on Oahu.
13. Visit the Battleship USS Missouri Memorial, located in Pearl Harbor. 3 football fields long and over 20 stories tall. Site of surrender ending World War II.
14. Hike through a rainforest. Join one of the guided tours that takes you on a walk thru a rainforest - at the end of the hike is the longest waterfall in Oahu. Be sure to wear shoes to hike in and it is damp and muddy on the trail.
15. Shop at the Waikiki beach shops - after dark. After a long day of activities and a great dinner, head for the street in front of Waikiki Beach. The shops stay open til 11:00 or 12:00 - even the malls! Great fun with all kinds of interesting street people too!
16. Visit the Dole Pineapple Plantation - get lost in the World's Largest Maze (199 Guinness Book of World Records). The Pineapple Garden Maze is 1.7 miles of winding paths bordered by Hawaiian plants, trees and flowers. Also available is a Plantation Garden Tour and Pineapple Express train tour.
17. Take a trip to the Byodo-In Temple in the Valley of the Temples in O'ahu. This Buddhist temple is a replica of the 900 year old Byodo-In located in Japan.
18. Visit the Honolulu Zoo. See Hawaii's native birds and animals in this 42 acre zoo. Even Komodo dragons.
19. Visit the Botanical Gardens in Oahu. See the large collections of tropical plants at one of the botanical gardens - Foster Botanical Garden, Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden, Lyon Arboretum and Moanalua Gardens.
20. Ride in a submarine - See sharks, turtles, exotic marine life and shipwrecks from an air conditioned submarine.
