76. Kukaniloko Birthing Stones, Wahiawa
The most sacred site in central Oahu. 2 rows of lava rocks flanked a central birthing stone, where women of ancient Hawaii gave birth to potential royalty. The rocks, according to Hawaiian belief, held the power to ease the labor pains of childbirth. Kukaniloko was used as a royal birth site into the 17th Century. Several renown chiefs were born here.
77. Puuomahuka Heiau, Oahu
This ancient temple on Oahu is situated above Waimea Bay and offers a stunning view of the large breakers.
78. Maunawili Trail, Honolulu
This trail makes an easy meandering hike through a forest on the lower slopes of the Koolau Range. Begin from the Pali Highway side and hike about an hour in and then turn back. This is a moderate hike.
79. Manoa Falls, Honolulu
About a 1 hour hike to reach this 100 feet waterfall, but worth the trip.
